In 2011, I completed my very first professional internship (5 months), the one that opened the doors to real working life. I was especially happy to work for this radio station and its various channels, having grown up surrounded by music since my earliest days. I keep wonderful memories from this time, as well as great encounters, and my work was so appreciated that I continued collaborating with them during and even after my studies.

I worked on many projects there, which is why I’m sharing the PDF of my internship report, although I’ve already included some of the projects directly on this page. This PDF contains everything I created for their website, for the promotion of the radio (press, flyers, booklets, brochures for record labels, branding, goodies), as well as the creation of several logos — notably for a new concert/events hall (Rouge City) and a TV show called Mika & Co.. These projects are detailed further down this page, but Rouge City and Mika & Co. were truly enriching experiences!

Looking back at this work and rereading my internship report, I realize how far I’ve come since then. For instance, I read that I was just starting to learn more about Illustrator, as I only had the basics at the time. Today, Illustrator has become my best friend! That’s why I believe it’s important to include this internship in my portfolio. Not only because I’m still proud of what I created at Rouge FM, but also because I think it’s essential to show the first projects, the very beginnings.

Rouge City

Rouge City was a new concert, event, and filming venue in Lausanne (formerly the Cult Club), under the identity of Rouge FM and Rouge TV. It was a very exciting project! The task was to create the logo and all the necessary visuals: wall of fame, drinks menu, access passes, entrance hall wall… even a Red Bull fridge customized for Rouge City! And of course, the event posters.

The German rockabilly band The Baseballs performed a concert there, followed by an artist interview backstage for Rouge TV. It was a special moment that I had the chance to capture through my lens. Attending a band’s soundcheck, their interview, and then their concert was truly a great experience, I was right at the heart of the music.

Mika and Co

A TV show was also created at Rouge City, Mika and Co, which required a logo, an honor for me to design and later see displayed on the big screen of the show’s TV set.

Mika and Co welcomed Christophe Willem as a guest, for a cozy interview on the studio couch, followed by an exclusive showcase. That same evening, Willem gave a concert that was open to the public through ticket sales. I had the chance to capture all these special moments once again:

Setting up the TV set, the artist’s arrival, soundcheck, filming of the show for Rouge TV, including the interview and showcase, and finally the concert with the audience. My backstage meeting with Christophe Willem remains a particularly fond memory, thanks to his overwhelming kindness. His concert was a great success, a true display of undeniable talent.

All the promotion for these events, both for Rouge City and Mika and Co, was created by me.
