BEHEMOTH! by Tony Gilroy will be the #NYFF64 Centerpiece Selection, making its world premiere on October 2.
I designed this poster because this is one of the movies I’m most looking forward to seeing in 2026. It also marks Pedro Pascal’s first leading film role, which makes it even more exciting for me. As someone who is deeply moved by music, I have a feeling this film is going to stay with me for a long time.
With this artwork, I wanted the music itself to dance around the musician, echoing the movements of his body and bow as he plays. My goal was to create a sense of rhythm, elegance, and motion. To achieve that, I grabbed a black marker, filled 20 pages with expressive strokes, scanned every page, imported them into Photoshop, and experimented until everything fell into place.
